Pope Francis will mark the 100th anniversay of the Apparitions of Fatima - May 13, 2017 in Fatima

  • The Pope and others will join a pilgrimage to the Shrine of Our Lady of Fatima from May 12-13, 2017
  • The apparitions of Our Lady of Fatima first began on May 13, 1917, when three shepherd children reported seeing the Virgin Mary.
  • They continued once a month until Oct. 13, 1917.

Our Lady of Fatima Appearance - May 13

We had numerous requests from clients that wanted their statues to be touched to a key artifact in the Basilica or Chapel of Apparitions in Fatima. Since this cannot be done, we have an alternative to bring a unique touch of Fatima into the statues.

As a special request for one client, we took 3 leaves from an Holmoak tree in the vicinity of Fatima and inserted it into the base of the Capelinha statue, protected with a glass cover.

The original Holmoak tree is an example of great symbolism and devotion, traditionally linked to the apparitions of our Lady of Fatima, even though it is not where she actually appeared to the Shepherd children. It is highly protected for historical preservation, however from a similar tree in the vicinity of Fatima, we will get 3 leaves to insert into the base of the statue and protect it with a glass cover.
